Road trip to Somnath mahadev & Adri beach

One day, at the mid night in a street of Jamnagar, me and my friends Gaurav Purohit  Aum Shilu decide to go on a road trip to Somnath mahadev and next morning as soon as we woke up, we disappeared at 105kmph speed. 
We rode 525km in 12hrs, yes sound like a crazy but we aren’t.
We started our journey from Jamnagar to Junagadh on single track road, after having lunch at Junagadh, we took the junagadh-somnath NH8. That smooth and 4 track highway is perfect for the bike ride. So with the full fuel tanks we headed towards our destination and directly stopped at the holy place of the Aadi Jyotirling Shree Somnath mahadev temple.
The somnath temple is located in prabhas patan near veraval in saurashtra on the western coast of Gujarat,india, is the first among the twelve Jyotirling of Shiva. It is an important pilgrimage and tourist spot. The temple is considered sacred due to the various legends connected to it. Somnath means "Lord of the Soma", an epithet of Shiva.
Somnath Temple is known as "the Shrine Eternal". This legendary temple has been destroyed and rebuilt several times by Islamic kings and Hindu kings respectively. Most recently it was rebuilt in November 1947, when Vallabhbhai Patel visited the area for the integration of Junagadh and mooted a plan for restoration. After Patel's death, the rebuilding continued under Kanaiyalal Maneklal Munshi, another minister of the Government of India.
The temple is open daily from 6AM to 9PM. There are 3 aarti daily; in the morning at 07:00, at 12:00 and in the evening at 19:00.
After praying to shiva, taking the Prasad, exploring the temple and doing some photography we headed over to Aadri beach which is 15km away from Somnath at NH8. That is very peaceful, clean and beautiful place. After enjoying the beautiful sunset we started return journey to Jamnagar. Better be safe! As we don’t take risk of driving on Single track road at night, we took long route via-jetpur-from Rajkot.

But a road trip in a car is also a great experience especially when you have the great company of your nearest dearest friends. Usually I don't like to write such long paragraphs for any post or pictures but the experience of last night was just fantastic fantabulous. Destination AJMER -via- Shreenathji

The Dreamland Rishikesh - (Beatles' special)

Just south of Swarg Ashram, slowly being consumed by the forest undergrowth, is what’s left of the original Maharishi Mahesh Yogi Ashram. It was abandoned in 1997 and is now back under the control of the forest department.
